Friendly multi-roomed pub served by a central bar. Comfortable leather banquette seating inside and picnic tables outside. Tall customers need to beware of the low-beamed ceiling doorways. Up to three changing ales were on offer before lockdown but not currently. There is a range of bottled real ales to choose from. A recent extension to the pub houses a new kitchen and the work uncovered a hidden well. This is now glass-covered and makes quite a feature as you enter via the side door. Train services to Ince & Elton station are very infrequent.
