Boars Head

This pub has several rooms and one bar serving the whole pub. Two real ales are usually available. Themed food nights are popular with steaks on Tuesdays and curries on Wednesdays. Sunday lunches are busy and booking is advised. A new extension to the building in 2015, overlooking the garden, serves as a very comfortable coffee-shop during the day and additional seating for the pub in the evenings. A direct path to/from Pontyclun railway station cuts through a small industrial area. Winner of many awards, including Highly Commended in the Branch CAMRA Pub of the Year 2019. May close early on Sunday evenings if quiet.
