A genuine locals' pub with a reputation for some of the best kept quality real ale in the area. Three or four beers from Welsh breweries are usually available, along with good value food. The pub can sometimes be loud and lively with its popular jukebox and numerous sport televisions, and football and darts teams among the regular customers. The small beer garden is popular in warmer weather, with artificial grass and wall paintings depicting Penarth.
