Butterfly Collector

The Vale of Glamorgan's first micropub opened at the end of August 2018 in a former shop on one of the main shopping streets of Barry, It has a single room with no bar - customers are served at the table with blackboards displaying the drinks on offer. As well as up to 8 (predominantly Welsh) cask ales on gravity it serves a couple of craft keg beers and over a dozen real ciders plus a selection of quality wines, artisan spirits and soft drinks. The enthusiastic licensee is a keen fan of The Jam and named the pub after the song on the B-side of the single 'Strange Town'. He was inspired to open a micropub after encountering others while travelling with his job. The pub's Jam memorabilia even extends into a series of tiles in the toilet. There is ample free car parking available nearby in a public car park or on the streets.
