Reputedly a smugglers’ pub, dating from 1380, this pub has been in the same family for over 75 years. Its thick stone walls and attractive thatched roof house a labyrinth of rooms with stone floors, wooden beams and open fires adding to the character and making the pub a tourist attraction for ale and food lovers alike. Award winning food is served in both in the bar and the upstairs restaurant. The guest beer and cider are frequently a locally produced.
