Rhymney Brewery converted this from a former florist's shop on the main street and it opened in April 2015. Decorated in the brewery's typical pub style, the Fed offers good value beer in comfortable, basic surroundings. There are many photographs of Maesteg in bygone days on the walls, a moose head above the fireplace, televisions with the sound usually turned down and a jukebox playing. Strictly no under 21s are admitted but well behaved dogs (of any age!) are welcome. No entry after midnight at weekends.
