The second room, beyond the fireplace, is used mainly for dining which is also possible outdoors on the heated, covered patio. Large garden with children's play equipment. Popular for its good value, hearty pub food but its four real ales shouldn't be overlooked. Beer festival in May. In addition to the normal food times breakfasts are served until 11.30 am. Last orders to the kitchen are half an hour before kitchen closing time. The pub sponsors the village Cricket Club, Ladies FC, Netball team and is home base for the tennis club.
