Classic Victorian village local with original cast-iron lattice windows, in a tiny isolated hamlet close to both Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. The pub has a band of local regulars. There is an aquarium in the lounge bar. Occasional quiz nights are held, and open mic nights feature on the last Tuesday of the month. An annual beer festival takes place in September. Parties can pre-book food at times when it is normally unavailable.
