Popular and friendly pub offering up to six real ales, with a range of strengths and styles generally including a dark ale and varying real ciders. On summer days the secluded terraced garden at the rear (up some steep steps) can be very pleasant. There are occasional beer festivals, tying in with other nearby pubs. Sunday roasts are popular and it is advisable to book in advance. Wednesday is quiz night. Street parking is limited.
