Situated in the yard behind the larger Sportsman pub, this is a spacious community pub. At one side is a conservatory which is family friendly until 8.30pm. Several TVs show live sport, including one on the partially covered patio outside. The pub is close to Gloucestershire County Cricket Ground and not far from the Memorial Stadium which means it can be very busy on match days. As well as a good value menu of pub standards served at the meal times listed above, pizzas are available from 5pm-10.45pm on weekdays, 4pm-10.45pm on Friday and Saturday and 4pm-10.15pm on Sunday. Discounts are available on pizzas for students, and on both pizzas and pints for senior citizens. The two changing guest beers can include some interesting options. There is a quiz on Monday nights. No dogs are allowed, even on the patio.
