This award-winning pub has 14 handpulls for cask ale, as well as 3 real ciders and several craft keg fonts. It is one of the Dawkins Taverns, and will always have at least 2 Dawkins beers on, as well as a wide range of styles represented on its 12 guest pumps, often from regional South-West breweries. The pub unashamedly sees itself as a traditional "back street boozer", and is an excellent community pub welcoming a wide range of customers. The interior is horseshoe-shaped, with a lounge area hidden behind the bar, and an external patio out to the side. Japanese meals and bar food is available from Tuesday to Saturday, and late Sunday roasts are popular. There are occasional DJ sets.
