Fork N' Ale Taproom & Kitchen

Opened in November 2019 as the first pub venture from Epic Beers, owners of the Pitchfork and 3D brands as a joint venture with well-known local publican Andrew Bidmead. Very conveniently located in the town centre and close to both the train station and the seafront. A modern venue, typically something you'd find in a city centre. Lots of wood, brick and metal for a modern look and feel but also with a couple of soft areas with couches. There is a big focus on the beer, with six handpumps available and between four and six of their beers on at any one time with a guest or two as well. Food is a concise menu of mains and small plates. Quality coffee is served, from the 09:30 opening to close. Toilets are upstairs so not ideal for those of limited mobility.
