It is above the coastal path on the edge of town, and the Severn Estuary and both Severn bridges can be seen on clear days. A varied menu is served all day with table bookings available. The pub was acquired by Fuller's in 2014 but the two or three guest ales always include one from outside the Fuller's stable. Seasonal Fuller's offerings also usually feature. Thatchers cider is stocked. Dogs allowed in main bar area only - best to book if you want to eat with your dog. The keg beers available now include a seasonal keg from Fuller's. Has a deserved reputation for the efficiency of their kitchen and the quality of their beers. This corporate house manages to have a friendly, neighbourhood feel which is not corporate.
