Orpington GPO

This gastropub opened its doors for the first time on July 4th 2020, at the end of the Covid-19 lockdown. The building was at one time the Orpington General Post Office, so the premises are spacious with high ceilings, and extend a long way back from the street frontage. With large steel ventilation ducts below the ceiling, and a large neon sign behind the bar, this reviewer was reminded of the bars to be found in the big cities in the northern USA. Tables and flooring are predominantly wooden. The food offerings include Sunday roasts. Full menus are available on the pub's website.
