Hope & Ruin

The Hope & Ruin is a grassroots music venue and pub that strives to support the independent live music scene here in Brighton. All of our bar products are vegan to compliment our plant based kitchen Beelzebab who provide fast food from a caravan in the corner of the pub. We have stuff going on most nights including DJs, art happenings, quizzes and more. We also love dogs who bring their humans to say hello.

The 150 capacity venue at The Hope Ruin is situated above the busy pub and hosts live shows from both local and international artists. We also host a regular poetry night and the odd late night club. There is a bar in the venue serving a selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks including draft lagers, beers and ciders as well as our very own Hope & Ruin Mosaic Pale Ale. You can also hang out in the ground floor bar before and after any gigs.
