After many years of selling no Real Ale, the White Boar reopened on 11/06/16 after a major, mostly tasteful, open plan refurbishment. The pub now sells 3 Thwaites Real Ales on handpump plus food. The sign outside claims that it is "Bury's No.1 Sporting venue" Reopened 6/7/2020
