Northern Way

Opening hours

Reopened on Monday November 19th 2018 for the first time as a pub and not just a late night bar, there now being four Real Ale pubs on Nelson Square (which houses a War Memorial and garden as well as a statue of the world famous Samual Crompton-inventor of the Spinning Mule). The drinking area is a single large and open plan space with multiple TV's with a long bar to the right of the entrance. The four handpumps on the bar seem to have stopped serving locally sourced beers, in favour of a single nationally sourced one from the Marston's Portfolio. An outdoor drinking area with a smoking shelter is to the side of the pub-the only pub on the Square with these facilities. There is an extensive Vodka/Gin and Rum menu to choose from. The able bodied toilets are some 29 steps upstairs with the ladies featuring a 'double occupancy cubicle' so conversations may continue when the need arises!
