Popular Fuller's pub, located near the town centre, with four hand pumps, the guest beer not often from the Fuller's range. The good value home cooked food is worthwhile investigating, but finishes early on Sunday for the quiz. Pictures and artefacts around the L-shaped bar follow either a military or local theme while the cellar bar, a converted air raid shelter, offers an interesting alternative and occasional live music at weekends. An excellent first floor function room is available for hire.
