This imposing 18th Century pub, originally built as a coaching inn, is rich in history and had a connection with local smuggler Isaac Gulliver, where it took its former name. It is now run by a popular family who had a previously multi award-wining pub in the same area. A large L-shaped bar serves two distinct areas and a well chosen selection of ales are on offer. Music is played by the landlord on Sunday afternoons and live music sometimes features. No children after 6pm.
