A comfortable and sizeable three-roomed ex-Melbourne house set in its own gardens. It has recently been refurbished and is now bright, comfortable and gimmick-free. There are currently three real ales. The L-shaped lounge is open-plan and wraps around the bar. A tap/games room to the rear is served by an extension to the bar and contains a pool table. The extension to the side of the lounge is used as a dining area and this can be closed off entirely if required. A number of meal deals are offered. In the surrounding grounds is a beer garden and children's play area. A quiz takes place on Sundays. The pub is currently aiming to form pool and dominoes teams for matches on a Monday. Dogs are permitted only in the tap room once food has stopped being served.
