Royal Shepherd Inn

Reputedly the only Royal Shepherd in the country. It is a canal-side, town-centre local with a traditional layout and a small garden to the side. The main bar has an interesting stained-glass window on a canal theme, there are also 2 small rooms either side of the bar which can also be used as as meeting rooms. Traditional home cooked food served daily with themed food days through the week. 'Open mike' on Sundays.
