Popular four room village pub with exposed timbers said to have come from ship of the same name, refurbished in February 2015. Built in 1735, with a chequered history as a hotel, brothel, council meeting room and dance hall before becoming the pub that it is today. Children and dogs are welcomed if well behaved. Food, served daily lunch and evening. Formerly the home of Naylor's Brewery and a regular outlet for their beers until Naylor's ceased trading on 29th September 2021. The back room has darts and ring the bull whilst the top room with its stone-flagged floor is used mainly for consuming the good-value, home-cooked food. There is a quiz every Thursday evening
