This was a substantial manor house, which was converted into a pub by Hammond Brewery. It still retains the sash windows and plain old fashioned doors. The building has been substantially extended and the interior is modern and open plan. This is primarily a family pub with the emphasis on good value food. A variety of meal deals are available throughout the week. A large beer garden and children's play area is located to one side. There is a Thursday night quiz.
