Woolpack

Opening hours

The village of Esholt is famous for being the original setting for Emmerdale and keen viewers may recognise the Woolpack although its traditionally decorated interior was not used for filming. It comprises two main inter-linked rooms divided by a central bar and with a dining area to the rear. The left-hand side is for food whilst the stone-flagged right-hand side is suitable for those wearing wellies and for dogs. The house ale "Woolpack Ale" is actually re-badged Moorhouse's Blonde. Tables and chairs are provided outside both front and rear. A covered smoking area and car park are also located to the rear. There are numerous framed photographs on the walls depicting characters from Emmerdale and showing scenes of Esholt and the surrounding area from days gone by. A Thursday night quiz is held and includes a supper.
