Birches Freehouse

This community pub, located next to the Memorial Hall, was originally a private club before it became a freehouse. An open-plan lounge area is served by a bar with three real ales. A large outdoor area is well-used in good weather. The pub is linked to the adjacent Memorial Hall whose annual beer and banger festival, held in August, and other specific events it supports. The premises are open for breakfast and coffee from 9am to 1pm, Monday to Friday. A quiz is held on Thursday nights. Children are welcome in the pub until 9pm. The room and bar are available for hire and the bar facilities can also be used by arrangement when hiring the adjacent Memorial Hall.
