RE-OPENED ON 16 APRIL 2021. OPENING HOURS AND BOOKING REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONFIRMED.
This pub, in the heart of Idle village, is now run by a small group called Beerhouses and focusses on being a good pub with good food. The lower front area is no longer assumed to be for diners. The rear terrace has been cleaned up and trees removed, giving back the extensive views. Under the terrace is an additional customer area, giving smokers some shelter. Three hand-pulls, incorporating the autovac dispense system, offer a varying of real ales, usually featuring local breweries. Nine keg taps offer a further choice of unusual and interesting craft beers as well as lagers. The pub hosts various events including "Meet the Brewer" nights. A weekly quiz takes place on Wednesday evenings. An acoustic afternoon takes place on the first Sunday of the month. A breakfast menu is available between 10am & 1pm, Friday and Saturday.
