Welcoming two roomed bar opened in former office premises by three real ale enthusiasts. It is located close to Towngate square and preservation area, on a side street opposite the post office. The main room, featuring plenty of beer and brewery related items, sells an ever changing and skillfully selected range of cask beers which usually includes a stout or porter. Local breweries predominate. A side room housing a separate bar serving gin and world beers offers additional seating. Note the collection of beer festival glasses on display in the bar.
