Boars Head

A large three storey building on the corner of Church Street and Newchurch Road. Near to St Nicholas church. The stone above the door indicates the building was constructed in 1674. The central bar with its 4 hand pumps serves three drinking areas. It is said that somewhere in the cellar was a sealed up door to an underground passage leading to the church.
