There has been a public house on this site since 1816. Formerly a row of cottages, it is now a large pub serving an array of guest beers from the likes of local brewers Reedley Hallows and Worsthorne to the more distant Acorn and Salamander. A weekly quiz is held on Tuesdays with entertainment on Friday and Saturday. There are pool teams and football on two screens. Close to Ski Rossendale and the terminus of the East Lancs Railway.
