Traditional freehouse formed from two cottages knocked together. It is small but has a great atmosphere within its four back-to-back-rooms, where the original stone walls, real fires, flagged and wooden floors have been retained. Beers are from local micro-breweries. Situated in the West Pennine Moors close to Darwen Tower and adjacent Roddlesworth Visitor Centre looking over moors, woods and reservoirs. Friendly staff welcome guests, walkers, dogs alike and offer a very good menu. Outside bar open in Summer months
Awarded Blackburn with Darwen Area Pub of the Year 2017.
