A smart upmarket, but very friendly, 17th-century pub located in the heart of the Somerset countryside within easy reach of Wells, Frome, and Bath. While the emphasis is on food (which is highly recommended), there is comfortable seating for drinkers next to the bar while there is a lovely garden with extensive views over to Downside Abbey.
