Refurbished and reopened by J D Wetherspoon in April 2014. This grade II listed building is one of the towns three remaining 18th century coaching inns. Large and comfortable, the beers include the usual Spoon's range plus occasional guests. The upper floors are an hotel with 10 rooms, while the station is just five minutes walk away.
