Forest Hotel

This Victorian hotel, believed to date from 1870, has polished wood tables with armchairs and sofas giving a relaxed, contemporary atmosphere. Bar meals are served and there is a separate restaurant specialising in Fine Dining. The large outdoor seating area makes this a popular pub in the summer, and the function room can be hired for parties, weddings etc. There is a cider festival in summer and a real ale festival in winter (November), and occasional discos and special events such as Burns Night. Breakfast is available for non-residents if booked in advance. Free wi-fi is available. The pub aims to open its own micro-brewery in 2016.
