Sir Robert Peel

Opening hours

Busy town-centre free house celebrating its 18th consecutive year in the Guide. It is named after the former prime minister, known for his role in the creation of the police force and the Tamworth pig. Five changing ales are dispensed by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Three or more real ciders also feature, plus a good selection of foreign bottled beers. A large and peaceful beer garden is to the rear, with ancient stone walls, overlooked by the historic St Editha's Church.
