In the heart of Old Hatfield, this supposedly haunted, 16th-century, Grade II-listed building is also thought to house a priest hole. The former timber-framed and later brick-clad pub serves up to six real ales hosting beer festivals during the year. Tuesday is bangers and mash night and Saturday is chilli and rice night - purchase an ale for a free portion! Enjoy Thai food on Friday evenings. Hatfield railway and bus stations are nearby using 'blood and guts alley'.
