Was rumoured to be getting a re-furbishment but no further news.
Small, fishing-oriented hotel on the banks of the River Don. The public bar with its open fire, has the feel of a dark, wood-lined cave with one end dominated by a projection TV screen used for sporting events. The lounge bar has a warming wood burning stove and there is a separate restaurant and conservatory dining area with stunning bridge and river views.
The riverside garden is popular in summer.
Beer available in both lounge and public bar.
Meals on Mon & Tue in Summer only.
The Grampian Transport Museum with its own miniature railway is nearby and the Castle Trail and a dry ski slope are also close.
